Stuffed French Toast with a Cinnamon Sugar Coating

DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional, I am good at throwing together recipes from what I know and trying them. This was something I just made up and tried, I would love feedback

Ingredients per 2 pieces

  • 4 eggs, wisked well
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tbs cinnamon

Combine the previously listed ingredients (works best with a square bowl because this is what the bread will be dipped in). Set aside.

Now time for the bread

Ingredients

  • ~4 tbs favorite jam/jelly/preserves( I used this)
  • ~4 tbs cream cheese ( I used Philadelphia Roasted Pecan and Sweet Honey spread because it was all I had and it turned out great)
  • 4 pieces of bread, I used white but any will do

This is shockingly easy. Ever made a PB&J? Same concept. Like more or less jam than that? Go for it. Spread your jam on two pieces and cream cheese on the other two, put the jam piece with the cream cheese and celebrate because it is coming together.

New were going to need two basic things

  • Frying pan
  • 1 tbs of butter, or a nonstick for your pan

Get the butter all melted

Now, you’re going to bring back the egg mixture, stir it up one more time for good measure and put your odd sandwich in, cover the outer layer of bread with it then put it in the pan on medium/high.

Because our bread is so thick were going to need to get it browned.

In another bowl mix

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tbs cinnamon

Spread it out on a plate

When the french toast gets done flip it onto the cinnamon sugar mix then onto a plate.

Let me know what you think!
